Yeah its still kind of weird they picked the Meat Puppets to go on the show and their songs as covers. I guess because they were touring with them and all and they probably agreed to the Unplugged show kind of spontaneously. Still yeah I wonder why they didnt work out Kurts ability to sing these songs more. It is still kind of funny how silly Kurt sounds on "Plateau" (the low AND high notes) but I see it as all in fun and good nature I guess (which is weird since the whole is mainly downbeat and looks like a damn funeral).
Agreed, yeah I am sure a majority of those songs were worked out during his time in Nirvana and it definitely sounds inspired by Kurt. The later stuff immediately became slick and generic, which just followed every album afterwards. Although I guess "Colour And The Shape" is decent.
