Like six months ago, maybe more, I found a pack of cigarettes on the ground with some 15 left -- it must have fallen out of someone's purse or pocket. They were Newports, expensive cigarettes (around $8 here), and I didn't want them to go to waste, plus I didn't want kids to get into them so I went in and smoked them.
Six months and hundreds of dollars later I've decided to quit and I'm finding it very, very easy with nicotine gum. I'm also on buproprion already as an antidepressant. I think this is day four without a smoke.
There's hope even many packs later. I think the experience gained from quitting for six years has made this a breeze. So far.
