Don't wanna give you a hard time but that sounds like classic rationalization to me. Who cares if cigarettes "go to waste" and if you were truly concerned about kids, you could have thrown them away. Glad you're trying to quit again and that it's easier this time but this is a perfect example of how impactful a single unplanned relapse can be- 15 cigarettes leads to 6 months of smoking and hundreds of dollars that could have been put to better use. Something worth keeping in mind the next time you're tempted.
