It's cool lecturing about smoking. TBH when I had quit for five or six years I'd occasionally find a loose cigarette on the ground and I'd take it home and smoke it and do just fine, with no cravings. It was that mostly-full pack that did me in.
And now it's only 16 days until pot's legal! (Shows how slow this board is, haha.) Sales don't start until July 2024 (which was the original legalization date until the Assembly pushed it forward three years). I actually didn't know that sales in DC are still banned, but they look the other way and allow dispensaries to openly operate and advertise on wheresweed.com. It's basically unenforceable, and if I'm in the local or state government I'd rather the marijuana market be run by professionals and not criminals anyway.
If we get a Republican in office (election this year) he might try to crack down on sales, but I don't see the current Attorney General doing so, and he's popular and running for re-election.
