Also, it just kinda felt like pandering and yet was also somehow (unintentionally?) comical. I started chuckling when I saw the women emerging from the woods covered in blood (just the *amount* of blood was cartoonishly OTT) and continued while June held Nichole while (unintentionally?) rubbing the blood all over her.
I hung out with my ladyfriend yesterday and asked her about it but she hadn't watched it yet- am genuinely curious to get a female reaction. Was it cathartic for women to see this symbol of male oppression beaten to death despite the clumsiness of the execution?
I'll still watch the show but it definitely seemed like a shark jumping episode and it suddenly made the low critics ratings of the season make perfect sense.
