Jailbreak - I'd heard this before and it didn't make much of an impression, but I liked it more this listen. The tightness of the band offsetting Lynott's laid-back vocals elevates it even when the songwriting isn't too compelling. Apart from the excellent "Boys Are Back", "Romeo and the Lonely Girl" and "Fight or Fall" both stood out. I've never loved the title track but it's fine.
Brain Salad Surgery - a little of everything - hymns, modern classical, jazz, rock, ballad, music hall - all done with mediocrity. The last part of "Karn Evil 9" is kind of good (even with the goofy lyrics), and "Still You Turn Me On" is okay, but I have no desire to hear any of the rest of it again. Does Carl Palmer know the meter of "Jerusalem"? because it sure doesn't sound like it.
