I take them out so I won't have to listen to that crap and eat in peace

But it is the damnedest thing. It seems impossible that someone could hear me eating in the room downstairs -- how could such little noise be heard through a floor and ten feet down? -- but I don't see what else it could be. It doesn't always happen (when either I assume or when she actually is out) but when I do it's always when I'm in the same chair and it's always food-related. It's not even just random tapping just to have noise: I never hear it except when following a chew-then-swallow, and it goes away until I chew-then-swallow next.
I'd think it was some kind of delusion, confusing a different cause for the effect, but I just don't see what else it could be. Life's too short to worry about it so I'll just take the plugs out. No big deal, and I can always put them back in, or put in new ones. They're cheap enough.
Also she really hates it when I type on the keyboard: I'm thinking misophonia again, so #### her.
