Radiohead with OK Computer
Blur with Blur self titled
PJ Harvey with Stories from the city
Ben Folds Five - Whatever and ever amen
Then I retrospectively listen to their earlier albums
Nowadays I would only listen to newer artist after they become celebrated long after the fact and hence missed the beginning of their career
The closest I can think of is The Darkness as they did breakup after the second album (which is less than the 3 album criteria). However they have reformed and reunited decade after break up and I havenít bothered listening to their new album
Even Removing the breakup criteria is still difficult
Franz Ferdinand is the only band I followed them from their debut album to their newest release
Coldplay I heard their debut album but lost interest after Viva La Vida. Muse I heard their debut album and lost interest after Black Holes and revelations.
If expanding to solo career
Possibly Neil Finn Solo career or Finn Brothers collaboration. I think I got into Try whistling this about a year after itís release and followed it towards the end. Right now he is focusing on Crowded House and hence his solo career is in hiatus.
