Nirvana - In Utero: Classic album, overall my favorite Nirvana. Love the Albini sound; has one of the best drum sounds ever, has a great raw sound on the guitars and the vocals, some great lyrics and slightly experimental songs like "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter". Just sick to death of "Heart Shaped Box" and "All Apologies" and not a huge fan of "Rape Me" just because its repetitive and the melody is not that great.
S&G - Bookends: Another one of my faves but took awhile to grow on me. Actually one of those albums I listened to a lot when doing hard drugs awhile ago. My favorite S&G album overall.
The rest of these I dont have much to say about
Kate Bush - The Dreaming: Great. Awesome voice on her, some unique songs ahead of their time. Still not exactly anamored by most of her stuff though honestly.
Echo & The Bunnymen - Ocean Rain: Only heard this once or twice but I loved the laid back sound on it. Definitely have to come back to it soon. Only really heard it because Avey Tare from Animal Collective wanted the drums to sound similar on Spirit They're Gone.
Not really familiar with the others. Vampire Weekend sound pretty cool, when I thought they were some lame overhyped indie group. Still don't know what to think about Death Grips but I think they're cool. Gotta check out the rest esp the Neil Young and Fairport Convention albums
