Marvin Gaye-Letís Get It On

ABC-The Lexicon of Love
R.E.M.-Automatic for the People
The Flying Burrito Brothers-The Gilded Palace of Sin
Alice Coltrane-Journey in Satchidananda
Minutemen-Double Nickels on the Dime
REM - Automatic = One of my favorite albums since childhood. Love the dark songs like "Sweetness Follows" and "Drive". Always thought "Everybody Hurts" was kinda silly but I love that one these days too. "Ignoreland" is a great deep cut
Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand = Lots of catchy fun lo fi indie pop songs. I like the slight experimentation and the off the cuff nature of the stuff here
Minutemen - Double Nickels = Love this one too. Handful of great songs on this one but probably a bit overlong. I could never get through it with one sitting and usually wade through different songs every time I listen. Still some songs are great and I'll always appreciate the ambition here for such a low key underground punk rock band. They were inspired by Husker Du's "Zen Arcade" apparently
Tame Impala - Currents = I love that song "The Less I Know The Better", and I know I like a few other songs but I forget a lot of this. Heard it once or twice when it came out and didn't care for it at the time. I liked when they were a psych rock band, then they started being more 80s influence like everyone else out there these days. Still I need to hear this in full very soon. Been meaning to for awhile to hear another "The Less I Know The Better" which is probably one of my fave songs of the last decade.
I know I've heard every single one of the other albums on the list but not really familiar with them too much. I know I probably like the Marvin Gaye, ABC and Cream albums but I dont remember hearing these albums in full.
