Yes TDA is better than Snow Crash. I don't remember much of what *happened* in TDA, though, and I have to say *rereading* Neal Stephenson isn't a high priority of mine or something I'd really be looking forward too--if I were to reread Snow Crash it would be to see if it were still average and disappointing, for example. I don't know where I'd possibly find time to reread any of his thousand-pagers since it took me three months to read W&P. Maybe I'll just get started on Seveneves, I really like the opening premise of that.
What do I recall from TDA?...uhm, the "kill the cyberpunk cliche character at the beginning to make an artistic statement about the genre" thing at the beginning, and...not much of an ending, Stephenson isn't good at those at all.
Harry Dean Stanton had quite a 1984, didn't he?
Repo Man: one of the most acclaimed performances of his career

Red Dawn: "AVENGE MEEEHHHHH!!!!!"
Wonder if anyone else on this board played Mario RPG. It has one of the hardest challenges in any video game ever, it's been said, where you have to land 100 perfectly timed Super Jumps on an enemy in a row to get a special armor item. I've only managed 21!!!! Should I even bother...
