I didn't keep the albums that I didn't like, and Goldfrapp, alas, was not among them, though IIRC it was kind of interesting. Unlike you I don't really care for female rock vocals, as I find that they either try too hard to sound tough or to sound pretty. Folk/singer-songwriter vocals are fine in the abstract, I guess, but I don't listen too much to them. I meant to ask about what the album was like but realistically I've got like ten-plus albums to get to before a hard deadline of going to the record store in early January so there's no way I could give Seventh Tree its proper shot.
Animals in high school was always my least favorite Pink Floyd album but if I heard it now I might feel differently. Definitely more mature and it may have worn better than most of their other work post-DSotM, if just because I haven't played it out. I should give it a quick spin.
