ONE THING I REALLY SHOULD THROW OUT: my dilapidated shower curtain, and a can of Chef Boyardee that my grandmother gave to me several years after it had expired (and that grandmother herself expired in 2018!)
APPLES vs ORANGES: apples, any day of the week. You can go up to a bunch of places on the mountains and pick your apples and get fresh cider. Good times. I try to go there and to Hershey, Pennsylvania every year. We did have an apple tree in the backyard for a while, but one of our dogs would jump up and eat eventually all the apples from the lower branches.
SCARIEST ANIMAL: ticks. They're like stealth mosquitos ("nature's dirty needle") who bite and spread disease, but you don't feel them latch on and they're easy to overlook.
HAVE YOU EVER ASKED ANYONE FOR THEIR AUTOGRAPH? Not since I was a kid, but yes: hockey players.
WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE? Pretentious answer: https://www.tertullian.org/fathers/cicero_dream_of_scipio_02_trans.htm Or maybe: I don't know, but when I die I'll be too dead to care.
FAVORITE ACTION MOVIE: I watched Aliens the other day, love that one. I've actually never seen a Rambo movie or, oddly enough, Predator. The ones we were into we were into hard. Maybe True Lies ("Women! You can't live with 'em, you can't kill 'em)
FAVORITE SMELL: gasoline, car exhaust, motor oil. That kind of thing. Also tobacco smoke, once it smooths out enough.
LEAST FAVORITE SMELL: mud. It's like shit but mixes with another pungent stench or two.
EXERCISE: IS IT WORTH IT? Dog-walking makes you bond with your pet (my dog and I on walks are basically a single symbiotic unit), and it's good exercise itself. I've rationalized not working out the upper body by telling myself that I'm as strong there as I need to be, and besides, I have a great ass from all that walking.
FLAT OR SPARKLING: sparkling in general but flat (soft) cider is much better flat.
WHAT IS THE MOST USED APP ON YOUR PHONE? Chrome
YOU GET ONE SONG TO LISTEN TO IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE. WHAT IS IT? I thought some wag would have answered this with "4'33"". Eh, there have been composers who have written works that would take over a lifetime to be performed, and I'd pick one of those. At least there would be music in the world.
WHAT NUMBER AM I THINKING OF? 420
DESCRIBE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE IN FIVE WORDS: I need more words, fam.
