I mean, you're closer to the noises you're making so in a sense, you're punishing yourself more than her (except when playing noisy/aggressive music that you actually enjoy) and in general, this type of sociopathic behavior's sounds pretty unhealthy even if you feel like you don't have any other options so I'm glad to hear you haven't given up on moving, even if things have been quiet for awhile.
