Ulver - [Norwegian title] (where did you hear of these guys??? Pretty obscure choice for extreme metal. They kick ass! Lower than lo-fi, pretentious, less cartoonishly Satanic. They were actually a project more than a band and put out only three black metal albums, often incorporating acoustic instruments. They were of the second wave of black metal but stood well apart from it's excesses. Awful production (all about that treble: no bass) but this is an album to hear if you hate the genre.)

CSNY - Deja Vu (the Neil Young song on the second side blows, I don't really remember the finale, and solo star Young is an awfully odd choice for a group of musicians who were otherwise mostly less important, or at least less-heralded members of less-heralded bands. It just doesn't gel. "Our House" is a fantastic song though.)

Pink Floyd - Animals (at the time this was my least favorite *mature* Floyd album, after The Final Cut and The Division Bell, though I've actually had the "ha-ha! Charade you are" and "house-proud town mouse" in my head lately. I don't remember which song it is, or any other parts of it. I'd probably appreciate it a lot more id I'd listened to it today just from having overplayed all the others.)
