That timeline's right, my argument was that Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere doesn't seem to have been especially big when it initially came out based on Billboard data. Maybe that's somewhat misleading, but given that CSN was a top 10 album with two top 40 singles, it seems like CSN was a bigger name coming into 1970 than Y was.
I can't believe you haven't heard both "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn! Turn! Turn!" by the Byrds. Maybe they were more influential than they were big (power pop, folk rock, Tom Petty, and psychedelia all own clear debts to them), but I still think of them as one of the big '60s bands. (The Hollies less so.)
