The Roots-Things Fall Apart (there's at least 3 or 4 Roots albums I've preferred to this one but I mostly understand why it's their most popular- has killer production, was their breakthrough album partly thanks to "You Got Me" which is admittedly a great song but just wish there were more songs on that level on here)
Simon & Garfunkel-Bridge over Troubled Water (my 2nd fave S&G after "Parsley Sage" and probably objectively their best or at least most mature, title track is impressive for both the writing and performance- Artie at his best and lily-white Simon writing a gospel standard, "Frank Lloyd Wright" doesn't get enough love, side A is pretty solid all way through TBH)
Tom Waits-Small Change (never loved this as much as most fans who tend to call it one of his best- needs more beatnik shtick like "Step Right Up" and ballads at the level of "The Piano Has Been Drinking" IMO)
Cannonball Adderley-Somethin’ Else (TBH I've never been crazy about ol' Cannonball in general, even on "Kind of Blue" or this, his most popular album which is basically a Miles album in all but name anyway. enjoyable but definitely not one of the best jazz albums ever like it's often called)
Gorillaz-Demon Days (haven't listened to these guys in awhile but always preferred the debut though I guess it's notable that I'm generally not a huge Danger Mouse fan, the De La feature is fun but most of this just seems like all over the map gimmickry)
Kate Bush-Hounds of Love (generally not a fan but this has its moments even if I prefer the previous album)
Talk Talk-Spirit of Eden (pretty production/arrangements but not my cuppa tea at all)
