I'm actually more interested to see that they released Shaft, even though I certainly like that movie less than Raging Bull.
Speaking of Gordon Parks, since I don't think I posted about these movies at the time I watched them, I thought that his 1984 made-for-TV Solomon Northup's Odyssey was a much better movie than 12 Years a Slave, which is based on the same book. I should really get around to Leadbelly
I rarely buy Criterion hard copies anymore because most of their releases cycle through their streaming (which, admittedly, I haven't been using for a while), but the recent release that I was most gratified to learn about was Leo McCarey's Love Affair. That's not my favorite movie, or even my favorite Leo McCarey movie, but it had been impossible to find in a print that wasn't total shit.
