I think with Key Lime Pie you kind of have to vibe with the lyrics for the album to really work. Like, I think "Sweethearts" brilliantly written, like this pleasant country song about how nice the Reagan fantasia of America is until the bombs fall and the plane crashes. For the record "All Her Favorite Fruit" is based on a subplot in Gravity's Rainbow, though I find it quite moving without that context.

The rest of CVB - I think there's a solid best-of in there. First couple albums are a little more novelty-ish, song titles like "Mao Reminisces About His Days in Southern China," generally a good time to listen to but only a few really memorable songs. The next couple albums get a bit more into psychedelia, i think you might dig "She Divines Water"





The Cracker that I've heard is patchy but "Big Dipper" was a real soundtrack to me feeling lonely in high school and i think it's a fantastic song:
