No, A Bigger Bang is worse than DW. DW is no great shakes of an album, but you've probably been over-sold by WRC reviews on the idea that it sounds like some godawful 1980s pop trash, when that's only a couple of songs.

Tupelo Honey is okay but I've never revisited it.

Gaucho, the two hits are great, but I never got the appeal of the rest of it--the Dan were REALLY sounding like elevator music by this point. The Nightfly by Donald Fagen is pretty cool, though.
