Are you just talking about his solo career? That was happening at the same time he was in The Faces. I'm counting every album he sang lead vocals on, not just the "Rod Stewart" albums. From 1968 to 1973 he made 2 albums with The Jeff Beck Band, 4 with The Faces, and 4 solo. That's 10 albums. I know that I said 11. *shrug*, I was thinking that there were 5 Faces albums, not 4.
I know The Faces better from a box set than I do the individual albums, and Stewart's solo career better from the two comps he put out in 1976, which had 2 LPs each, but I've heard all the individual albums up to '73 at some point. Maybe one or two of them are worse than I'm remembering, but in general that "classic period" contains alot of music for a 6 year time span.
