but there's actually a couple of songs I enjoy on that one (namely "Caroline Says" and the title tracks), whereas "Karma" mostly bores me even when Thomas isn't present. But again, I'm just generally not into spiritual jazz so I'm not really the right audience for the album in the first place.

FWIW I enjoyed Sanders when I saw him live. Was a few years ago at Yoshi's in Oakland- maybe a venue worth checking out when you and your fiancé (wife?) are in the Bay Area (SF's also got good comedy clubs like Cobb's and The Punchline that might be worth checking out while you're here depending on who's performing)..
