I do laugh at stuff like that.

The jokes I can't stomach are the ones that use real images. For example, I think that the animation of somebody dancing on the tops of the Twin Towers so that it looks like he's causing them to collapse is genuinely offensive. When you use the real film, you're literally watching a video of the murder of thousands of people.
Regarding the Subway joke, that really seems like it's making fun of corporate exploitation of a tragedy.
