Curtis Mayfield-Curtis (2nd favorite Curtis album after "Superfly" and more typical of his solo work than that one, some of his strongest and most political material)
Elliot Smith-XO (definitely the best of Elliot's more produced post-"Either/Or" albums, he really lets his Beatles influences shine in terms of both the songwriting and the arrangements)
This Heat-Deceit (kinda runs outta steam towards the end but it's got a nice vibe which reminds me of Chrome at times)
Portishead-Third (overlong and generic, not awful but not what I want from them)
Glenn Branca-The Ascension (at first I kinda liked the wiry lurching vibe which reminds me of The Red Krayola's "Solider Talk" but then I realized that it wasn't really going anywhere and the monotony started to wear on me)
