But "Weasels" definitely has more live stuff than "Weeny" (only live stuff on the latter is at the end of "Little House") which is why I've never really thought of them as parts 1 and 2 like Matt does- they have slightly different characters and it's notable that The Mothers were a messier and jazzier beast live (this is also apparent on the live tracks on "Uncle Meat") and since you're not much of a jazz fan, I don't really expect you to dig most of the live stuff on "Weasels" but it still seems like you're basically writing off an entire album that actually features quite a bit of variety.
Been ages since I've heard "Pendulum" (not an album I ever feel like revisiting) so I'll have to take your word for it re: the organ tones. And no, I didn't know Gilmour played drums on "Dominoes" but he does a decent enough lazy shuffle which is all the song really calls for. Didn't think much of the song at first but have come to consider it a highlight- does as good of a job of summing up Syd's mental state as any of his other solo material, actually.
You ever heard the "Opel" outtakes comp and if so, any plans to revisit it? Some casual fans dismiss it as barrel scrapings but on a good day, it's my favorite solo Syd release. Really like the starkness and it's ironically possibly his most consistent set and includes versions of "Octopus", "Wined & Dined" and "Dark Globe" that are arguably superior to the album versions.
