I've been brushing up on my French, first by reading Georges Simenon's The Yellow Dog - probably not one of the best Maigret mysteries, but they're pretty much all good so no worries there - and now by going through Raymond Queneau's Zazie In The Metro. He's a great novelist but poses some challenges in French, though the fact that I've read this before in English helps.
Also reading Raven Leilami's Luster, which is only moderately interesting, and started Alan Garner's Red Shift, which is hard going at least initially.
