Right now, Henry Chapman Mercer's November Night Tales. So far it's a slog TBH and I have a few other books that I could be reading; night after night of, "eh, I don't feel like reading this today; I'll do it tomorrow," gets you in a rut. Also I had no idea Mercer was American until I was a couple stories in and I might like them better now that I know that, not comparing him to/expecting the English tradition.
