The only books he wrote between 1952 and 1990 that I missed were God Bless You Mr. Rosewater and his debut, Piano Player. Sirens Of Titan was good because he had some mercy on his characters for once. Also, duh, 50s sci-fi.
What I know about Celine is that LDJIN is still well regarded but that the guy himself collaborated with the Nazis. This is repeated every time I hear about him in any capacity at all; you can't avoid it anymore than you can avoid discussing the backlash against the Strokes when you talk about the Strokes. I haven't read him.
