If we're talking about pure enjoyment I'd place it comfortably on the good side of mediocre, but not all that far over the line. But I guess I can see what someone would love about the album. The band seems like they're still trying to write lyrics they care about, even if I think they're not that great, and it sounds like they put alot of work into the arrangements, although some of them kind of sound like shit anyway because of the cheesy late-70s synths (Sister Disco, I'm looking at you).
Guitar and Pen is a better song that I remembered it being. The repetitions of "your guitar or your pen" always stick in my mind and those kind of annoy me, but overall it's an okay song.
I will say that the title track sounds as of its time as everything else, but I actually like the synths and production on that one.
