Music Babble

I originally created a Spotify account around 6 years ago when I started working at my current company and was just doing customer service- I was the unofficial office DJ and made a bunch of playlists that we'd listen to while working (the 90's R&B playlist was the most popular). A couple years later I moved to a different team and pretty much stopped using my Spotify except in rare cases like making a playlist for a Halloween party and stuff like that.

Since I hooked up with my current gf around 1 1/2 years ago, I've gotten back into making playlists because she and I like to go on outings which often involve long drives. It's been a fun way to turn her on to various things. But for the majority of my solo music listening, I still use an iPod.

Yeah I'm similarly surprised by how obscure some of the music on Spotify is. Re: the Rogan controversy, I understand both sides but ultimately feel like he has the right to be as wrong, stupid, insensitive etc as he wants and it's up to listeners to determine whether they wanna listen to his garbage or not.
