The Blur song doesn't remind me of the Kinks "House In The Country" song. I get that the subject matter is similar, though, but Blur still don't *sound* like the Kinks in any era.
What I meant by "being British" was I meant being a British young person around 1995 when the Blur-Oasis feud was going.
