I think Adore is underrated
Yeah it was highly disappointing at the time and it is true no one gave a shit about it at the time (probably still except fans or people that like the style I guess) but in retrospect it is a really good album. A bit overlong of course but I like the direction he took on there. Some real sad emotional songs and interesting synth pop sounds that would direct the tone of where music would go like 10-15 years later. Its grown on me a lot over the years..
But yeah obviously the point still stands that it was a disappointing release for them and was a sign of the times for both rock mainstream music and the future of the Pumpkins.
