She is so utterly boring!
her music and her personality; it's all focus-group sh*t, and indeed, the music industry must hold on for dear life to any release that can be seen as some kind of "event" (and that count is dwindling and dwindling...). I suppose the masses will be falling for this for decades to come as she reaches the "Aretha stage" of her career. Of course I am not the audience for this stuff (musically or culturally, as I'm not searching for a black female heroine to idolize and don't like modern pop music), but still... can't so-called pop icons show a little individuality and risk-taking? Or do the majors not allow this anymore...
