"Research" has become one of my most hated words just because of Facebook crazies ("do your own research" -- I'm not connected to a university, sorry). There's also "arguably" (a meaningless hedge) and "purchase" as a verb (have you ever noticed that nobody buys things anymore?)
(Context -- sorry: I just read another article about Master Watkins and it brought up QAnon, including the hortation to do one's own research. According to that article, Watkins is emigrating to Australia, so he's Trung's problem now.)
