It's a shame that "Fahrenheit" is Bradbury's most well-known work
He's one of my favorite authors but "Fahrenheit" is one of my least favorite works of his, partly because it's pretty underdeveloped as you say. Yeah the anti-intellectualism theme is effective and timely and it does a decent job of predicting our current screen addiction but Ray's written so many better books, especially his collections of short stories ("The Golden Apples of the Sun" and "October Country" are the best) and "The Martian Chronicles" (which was also originally released as a series of short stories and then later reworked as a novel).
