and hey, I like a lot of them, but I'm talking about the general aesthetic. Acid-jeans AOR stadium slop like Journey, Foreigner etc., fruity aerobics synthesizer pop all over the place, Flashdance, cheesy hair metal kicking into gear. That era was cheesier and has dated worse than any other era I can think of pre-2000.
