Music Babble

I read the book in fifth grade but had no idea what communism really was when I was 11 so a lot of it was lost on me and I guess I just thought it was about a girl defeating some sort of evil brain, like Metroid or something (it took me a second to realize that Super Metroid had not even come out yet!! This was 1993)

At a family Thanksgiving get together I realized one of my cousins had a copy of the book so I began flipping through it and read much of the Camazotz stuff. A lot of it did come back to me. I, uh, confess that I faintly enjoyed it. I don't think I would see much problem in that book continuing to be assigned to kids (it's not like they all flocked to watch the Oprah Winfrey movie four years ago!)
