The Beyond - One of my favorites of the genre, like an especially bad nightmare. Plus it's set in New Orleans
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage - Solid early Argento, love the design
The Blob (1988) - It's okay, some neat special effects. Very 80s in aesthetics and politics
Brain Damage - not exactly a horror movie, more just a weird comedy. It's fun though
Cannibal Holocaust - #### this shit
Cemetery Man - more of a surreal "male existential ennui" film with zombies, I remember it being okay
The Crazies - definitely lesser Romero, not that dissimilar from the Dead films
Da Sweet Blood of Jesus - unwatchable
Eaten Alive - I'm not going to recommend this, but I very much enjoyed the garish neon set design
The Fog - not my favorite Carpenter
Ganja & Hess - cool, very much of its time. Also not something I'd call a horror film
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night - didn't enjoy it, some interesting shots but could have been a short film instead
The Grapes of Death - I watched this with a very receptive audience and had an okay time, but I wouldn't watch it outside that context
I Walked With a Zombie - classic
In the Mouth of Madness - pretty good, although I don't think it's quite the lost classic that other people do
Near Dark - some good scenes, but a bit overrated
Onibaba - watch it, of course
Peeping Tom - very good
Phantasm - pretty shitty
Phenomena - ridiculous, in the good way
Pulse - great film
Rapture - love it, not even remotely horror though
Sisters - ehh
Zombi 2 - very fun
