Music Babble

I mentioned it because it's the film you rave about most often alongside "Animal House" but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's mostly targeted at teens because Linklater obviously threw a ton of detail in there that would appeal to adults in his age group. And it's genuinely a good movie with layers- the Goldberg ass kicking scene is great because it rings true. Fight scenes in films generally aren't nearly as awkward and embarrassing as they should be- the brief fight in "The Master" has a similar effect (even if I didn't care for that movie as a whole).

"Animal House" on the other hand seems to rely on the viewer being as juvenile as most of its jokes and lacks any interesting characters or depth. And um it's not particularly funny.

"B&B was hard to enjoy because it beat the same premises and jokes into the ground over and over and over and over and over, and then came back for multiple revivals where it...continued to beat those jokes to death."

For point but you also binged the entire series pretty quickly which is obviously not ideal for that type of show and probably emphasized the repetitive nature of the jokes/themes.
