I don't remember when the "Nicktoons" (which were originally "Doug", "Rugrats" and "Ren & Stimpy"- IIRC they added "Rocko's Modern Life" and other shows later) came on but I don't really think of them as your typical Saturday morning cartoons. They were weirder and more adult (especially R&S).
But the original programming on Nickelodeon during the 80's and 90's was pretty great in general and I also appreciated how they'd show old Looney Tunes shorts- like "Sesame Street", that's the kinda stuff every kid should grow up on (wonder if they still show them, especially given that a lot of those shorts don't align with todays excessively woke environment).
