That said, I can conjure up a few fond memories of the Garfield stuff, which is probably better than the comics, which I had about 30 of those brightly colored little compilation books of, though to be fair as a kid I fell for anything brightly colored. It was weird--I would have been 8 or 9 reading through loads of them and they may have been just adult enough to kind of shape my worldview? But sitting through one of the TV specials would probably be a better way to conjure up memories.
DuckTales and Rescue Rangers I can maybe dig up a small place in my heart for too, but I won't be rewatching any of them any time soon.
The Mario cartoons are probably unbearable today. The Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon with Urkel doing the voice of Sonic was terrible even then and pretty much everyone completely hated it, as far as I know. I never saw a kind word about it anywhere.
What was the name of the show with the cowboys who were actually cows? That one was weird.
I did not have Nickelodeon as a kid.
