I don't like On the Turning Away, but I don't really like The Final Cut, so if it's channeling that then it makes sense that I don't like it. I do kind of like One Slip.

I never liked much of MLOR, but I used to like The Division Bell but now I might agree with you that it's even lamer and more fake.

I had friends in college who liked Dream Theater, and I thought the band was alright then, but when I heard it it was always playing in the background while we were hanging out. My attempts to listen to listen to them on my own and give them my undivided attention convinced me that I didn't actually like them. I remember them having some really shit keyboard tones.
