That's a fair criticism--the Nazis in Come And See are pretty faceless for the most part. But the movie's not about Nazis, it's really more about the war's effect on the kid--driving him out of his mind until he becomes a hardened soldier because that'd be just about the only way he wouldn't lose his mind completely.

I also grew distracted by how much the kid, at least when he smiles, looks eerily similar to Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones.

There is some talk that the facially disfigured girl we see near the end of the film is NOT Glasha, the girl from earlier. Who knows.

Schindler's List had that bizarre scene where the ghetto was being liquefied and that one guy started playing crazy fast piano, I remember that. If that's similar.
I'm not sure what liberties they took with Amon Goeth--what, that Ralph Fiennes didn't look fat and diabetic enough? One common criticism (and over the years I've found that more people than you'd think hate Schindler's List, though still not that many) is that it's too easy to root against Goeth, who was nutso.
