Yeah I know Aphex Twin. I think he's great when his songs don't sound like someone putting a synth into a garbage disposal, lmao.
Hadn't occurred to me to think of dub as being ambient, but I could see it. All I know from Wobble is some of the PIL stuff he played on, but I'd heard he covers a lot of ground in his career. The Wobble/Eno collab is one I haven't listened to yet. Probably should get around to it, but 90s Eno has been nothing but misses for me so far. Nerve Net is awkward sounding, Shutov Assembly is generic sounding, Neroli should be retitled "Turdsday Afternoon", and The Drop is total complete ass (what was he thinking with that one? it's like he was making bad music on purpose. 1 out of 10).
Aside from recent events my mental health has been pretty good lately (best in years really). At least this situation is a legitimate problem that I have some kind of control over now and I'll probably learn a lot by going through all this.
I also smoke too much pot (well, not much right now gotta stretch my stash). I really don't know if it's good for me in the long run or not, but without it I tend to become extremely neurotic isn't good for me either (when I was at my most depressed several years ago now it was like I was trapped in a self-created web of my own neuroses and paranoia).
Yeah i live at home in the basement suite and pay rent. It is absolutely cheaper than anywhere else, and while the consequences if i cant pay rent next month will not be good I don't think I would be evicted or anything (they'd probably tell me I would be expected to pay back any outstanding rent as soon as I get paid. doubt they'd give me any money so that would be the best i could hope for). That being said while I am very comfortable living here I know I've got to move out sometime soon, for obvious reasons.
NP: The Murlocs - Rapscallion. this is the band i'm seeing with my co-worker. groovy nuggets-esque garage/psych
