I read the Thomas Keneally book (which is journalistic and not written like a "novel" much at all, really) and don't remember that scene! How screwed up of me. The book is not bad the movie towers over it for a reason.
I think J-Ro is losing it at the end of that essay. Is he really serious about the George Bush bit? I don't think Spielberg much identifies with Schindler, either.
