If you're like me, you'll watch anything Armando Iannucci's involved with (he also did the Alan Partridge stuff with Steve Coogan, "The Thick of It" and "In The Loop") but "Avenue 5" is also probably the most accessible thing he's done so you don't have to be a fan to get into it.

Yes, all the standard Iannucci hallmarks are there- pretty much every character is a horrible person, the dialogue is profanity-laden poetry and it manages to be both realistic and cartoonishly absurd. But it's easier to follow than his more political stuff and has a great premise and subverts sci-fi in a way that should appeal to a wider audience without watering down the stuff that makes it great. The cast is also hilarious, especially Zach Woods, Hugh Laurie and Josh Gad.
