Music Babble

Last year and this year I've bought some of the Christmas CDs we played as kids for my sister (and this year, for my mom, too).

Choir of King's College, Cambridge - O Come All Ye Faithful
Handel - Messiah (Atlanta SO/Shaw) (both my mom and I have other recordings but this was the one when I was a kid)
Various - Dr. Demento's Greatest Novelty Christmas CD Ever (awesome -- ripped this one. The Cheech and Chong "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" went totally over my head back in the day but it's hilarious now)
Carpenters - Christmas Portrait (okay, this one *is* terrible. I listened to it the whole way through but I still ripped it. You can blame my mom for that)

I'm sure there were others but I'm blanking on them. That reminds me: I really should give Bach's Christmas Oratorio some spins. I meant to listen to the St. Matthew and St. John Passions for Easter but it slipped my mind.
