If you ever see a big dose of CBD available I'd semi-recommend trying it out just for the sake of it. If you take a CBD dab or smoke a whole joint of a high% CBD strain or eat a 100mg CBD edible you will feel it. But it's thoroughly mediocre so don't go out of your way.
The ear sensitivity symptom went away and then came back whenever I stopped and started CBD again which is how I identified that as the source of the issue. (I have never seen any other person comment about experiencing that specific issue though, so IDK what my deal is in that regard). And when i stopped taking it every day I realized I just felt better in general. weird!
Some pets definitely perished in the fire. The woman in the unit below where the fire started lost her cats I know that much at least. Pretty sad. But thankfully no people died (though the guy in the unit where the fire started was badly burned). And yeah it's all about evaluating the infrastructure as to when they'll be allowed back, but so far at least the prognosis seems relatively positive for them getting back in within a month or two.
Damn, f*ck anybody who takes people out with them when trying to kill themselves, that's pretty horrific.
Pretty freaky when you know you dog is capable of doing something like that.
Reset was pretty fun. Best Panda album since Tomboy probably. Though I still think I preferred Time Skiffs by a hair, probably because it's more varied. I was pretty disappointed by the AnCo show I saw this year though. There were some highlights of course, but for the most part they pretty much just focused on playing their most moody slow and atmospheric stuff, including a 20 minute song that will be on their next album which was impossible to get into on a first listen.
My fav album of 2022 is King Gizzard's Changes. One of the coolest premises for an album, it's modal but in a purposefully limited way (as opposed to a "Giant Steps" crazy jazz sort of way) alternating back and forth between the keys of D and F# every time they change chords, leading to the whole album being kind of in both keys simultaneously. each song has a different vibe to it but used the same sonic palette and many of the same melodies recur in different contexts making the album sound cohesive in a really unique way. Plus it's loaded with vintage organs moog and mellotron. Music nerd boner at full mast for this one.
