....uh, Dinosaur Jr's Bug goes to pot in its second half, but I can't remember where the cutoff point is.
The problem is, I can't really use any album I ever *purchased*, because if I bought the CD, I made a point to give it an annual relisten every year for about a decade, I wanted my money's worth. So really even the lesser albums in my collection (about 500 albums) I have more or less committed to memory. A big exception would be Trout Mask Replica, where I only liked about 10 out of the 28 songs and if you played me one of the ones I didn't like, chances are good I actually wouldn't be able to tell you which one it was.
The piece of music I've most forgotten after multiple relistens? That's easy--the 18 minute sidelong classical piano concerto Keith Emerson plays at the beginning of Works, Vol. 1. I listened to that album eight times and CANNOT REMEMBER A NOTE OF THAT DAMN THING. I also haven't relistened to any ELP albums since I think 2015, when I went through their discography after years of ignoring everything but "Tarkus," "Karn Evil 9" and a few others.
"Silas Stingy" blows, but "Sunrise" is beautiful and the others are no duffers either. That's still the best Who album!
