It's a shame he's gone and makes it feel even less likely Lynch is going to do anything new. I think I heard for Twin Peaks S3 he wasn't in great health so they had to do their collaborations over Skype, and his score for that was pretty minimal keyboard stuff, so I guess it's not a huge shock. And he was 85 onbviously.
Maybe if Lynch does another film he'll just do the music himself...
